Beauty technology is easier to navigate when you start with a purpose. Do you want to focus on the appearance of lines and texture, or are you looking for a device intended for blemish-prone skin? That choice helps you understand where red, near-infrared and blue LED fit into the Telosin collection.
Y Pro Red combines red and near-infrared LED for a facial rejuvenation routine focused on the appearance of firmness, fine lines, wrinkles, texture and radiance. Telosin X and VII are also part of the facial collection, with their own specifications and instructions. Customer care can help with the earlier Telosin V. Compare individual models before choosing.
Y Pro Blue uses 415 ±15 nm blue LED and is intended for blemish-prone skin. Its triangular head, skin-contact activation and temperature sensing sit within the same design family as Y Pro Red. The choice of light relates to its intended use; it is more than a colour preference.
Read your device manual before the first session. Follow the preparation steps, facial zones and schedule, and keep Y Pro’s treatment head away from the eyes and eyelids. For help with suitability or a skin condition, speak with a healthcare professional.

The Dual Transformation brings Y Pro Red and Y Pro Blue together with the Lumiactive skincare collection. At the heart of the launch is a simple starting point: choose your beauty technology around your skin concern. The two devices share a distinctive design, while their light technologies address different skin priorities.

Y Pro’s triangular head is part of a distinctive design created with Karim Rashid. The handheld format, skin-contact activation, temperature sensing and charging cradle are details to discover as you get to know the collection. Watch Karim discuss the design in his own words.
The collection introduces LUMIRED and LUMIBLUE treatment gels, alongside Blue Light Defense Cream, a daily moisturiser. Apply Lumired before Y Pro Red or Lumiblue before Y Pro Blue. Finish with daily skincare. Blue Light Defense Cream can be used without a device.

Blue light targets blemish-associated bacteria, while red light supports anti-inflammatory responses and skin recovery. Combining these actions can improve results for blemish-prone skin compared with blue light alone. This is the scientific rationale behind Telosin’s coordinated Red & Blue approach, bringing blemish care and skin renewal into one routine.
Combination studies used other devices and treatment protocols; they do not establish improved results from pairing Y PRO Red and Blue.
The Science Museum’s medical history collection documents a period when sunlight and artificial light attracted wide interest as treatments. Its account describes Finsen’s late nineteenth-century work with concentrated light and the specialist lamps that followed.
The museum also records the promotion of domestic tanning equipment in the 1920s and 1930s. These objects show how ideas about light moved into consumer culture. They do not establish that historical beauty rituals produced flawless skin. Read the museum’s illustrated history.
Sunlight, historical ultraviolet equipment and modern red or blue LED devices should not be treated as interchangeable. The useful questions are specific: which light, which device, which intended use and which instructions?

Lumired and Lumiblue are translucent gels developed for red and blue LED treatments. Encapsulated vitamins release during application, while hyaluronic acid and tremella mushroom provide hydration. Lumired features vitamin E, while Lumiblue combines niacinamide with vitamins A and E to support skin clarity and comfort.
The Light Enhancing Serum contains light-reflecting mineral particles that create a soft-focus finish. Alongside the Light Magnifying Cream and Rejuvenating Light Locking Mask, the range combines antioxidant vitamins, brightening ingredients and nourishing textures for smoother, more luminous-looking skin.

NASA’s account of LED research begins with work on growing plants in space. It describes how investigations with Quantum Devices and the Medical College of Wisconsin later explored medical applications of red and near-infrared LEDs.
Between 1995 and 2003, NASA funded a series of contracts investigating medical uses of LEDs. Its historical account discusses laboratory work and clinical applications with specific equipment. Read NASA’s original account for the projects, researchers and devices involved.
The history of a research field provides context; the evidence for a product comes from its own specifications and studies. Wavelength, dose, treatment method and intended use matter when comparing devices.
This historical account does not indicate a NASA affiliation or endorsement of Telosin. For our collection, visit Telosin Science and read the skin-rejuvenation study with its device-specific context.

For the specifications and intended use of an individual device, visit its product page. Telosin Science brings together light specifications and the original skin-rejuvenation report.
Research is most useful when you know which device was assessed, how it was used and what was measured. Telosin’s skin-rejuvenation report describes an earlier red and infrared LED device with contact warming.
The report describes 30 participants and a physician assessment of photographs. It considers facial wrinkles, skin texture and discoloration. Responses are grouped as excellent, medium or poor.
At the reported eight-week assessment, Table 2 records excellent-response ratings of 75% for wrinkles, 80% for skin texture and 60% for discoloration. These are response categories, not percentage reductions in wrinkles, pigmentation or other skin measurements.
The report does not establish results for Y Pro Red, Y Pro Blue or Telosin X. The results page reproduces Table 2 at its stated assessment and explains the report’s method and limitations. The study’s observations belong to the device it tested.
Visit Telosin Results for the response breakdown, study photographs and full four-page report. Check the methods and device details whenever you use a study to inform a product choice.
